Travelling with Children

Under 2 years

Babies do not normally have their own seat onboard the aircraft, but should travel in the arms of an adult.

From 2 to 12 years (before 12th birthday)

Have the right to their own seat, at reduced price, with the same baggage allowance as an adult.

Unaccompanied minors

Unaccompanied children (generally aged between 4 and 14, 12 for some airlines) travelling alone must be specified at the time of booking. Special assistance procedures are automatically activated by airport staff up until boarding, when the minor passes under the protection of the airline. The parent/guardian must remain at the airport until take off. Similar assistance is provided on arrival. The child is accompanied until met by the person named on the booking form.

To benefit from this service it is vital to check permitted age limits as rules may vary from one airline to another. You are therefore advised to contact the airline directly for more detailed information.

In case of pregnancy it is always advisable to inform the airline when booking and ask for the necessary documentation.
